This notice explains how QATested uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our marketing site and application.

2. Essential technologies

These are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled while using signed-in features.

• Authentication cookies and session data from Clerk to keep you signed in securely.
• Security and routing cookies needed to protect accounts and deliver the application.
• Local storage for theme preference so the interface remembers light or dark mode.

3. Analytics

We measure product usage to understand traffic and improve the experience.

We store a pseudonymous client ID in your browser local storage and send page-view events to our server-side analytics collector. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core app for retargeting.

If you dismiss the cookie banner, we still use essential technologies but remember your banner choice in local storage.

4. Third-party services

When you authenticate, pay, or connect payouts, Clerk and Stripe may set their own cookies or storage under their policies.

Embedded content such as Loom recordings may use third-party cookies governed by the provider.

5. Your choices

You can:

• Use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
• Clear site data for app.qatested.io to reset local storage, including analytics ID and cookie banner state.
• Manage optional email notifications in account settings.

6. Changes

We may update this notice when our technologies change. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version.
