QATested LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates QATested (qatested.io). This Refund Policy explains when developers receive refunds for unused tester slots, WordPress sandbox hosting fees, and how refund timing works for payments processed through Stripe.
QATested is a prepaid marketplace. Developers pay upfront to reserve tester slots when publishing a test. This policy explains when money is refunded and how long refunds take to appear.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
At checkout you pay for the number of reserved tester slots multiplied by the per-tester payout, plus a platform fee on those slots. WordPress plugin tests also include a per-slot hosting fee for isolated sandbox sites.
You only receive value when testers complete approved work. Rejected submissions reopen the slot for another tester and do not trigger an immediate refund.
WordPress hosting is refunded at settlement only for slots where no sandbox was ever provisioned. Once a site is created for a slot, that hosting fee is not refunded.
After your test deadline, you have a review window to approve or reject pending submissions.
When the review period ends, any slot that was never claimed, never completed, or never approved is treated as unused. Unused slots are refunded automatically, including tester pay and the platform fee on those slots.
For WordPress plugin tests, the per-slot hosting fee is included in that refund only when no sandbox was provisioned for that slot.
WordPress plugin tests reserve an isolated sandbox site for each tester slot. Checkout includes a per-slot hosting fee in addition to tester pay and the platform fee. The amount is shown before you pay.
A sandbox is provisioned when a tester claims a slot. Once a site is created for that slot, the hosting fee for that slot is not refunded — even if the submission is later rejected or the slot reopens for another tester.
If a slot is never claimed, or settlement runs before any sandbox was provisioned for that slot, the hosting fee for that slot is refunded together with the unused tester pay and platform fee for that slot.
When you reject a submission, the slot stays reserved for a brief hold period (see platform settings) so you can reconsider. When the hold expires, we destroy the sandbox site and reopen the slot for another tester.
Summary of hosting refunds by slot outcome:
You may cancel a test for a full refund only before any tester has claimed a slot on that test.
Once a slot is claimed, the test is considered live and normal settlement rules apply.
Testers are paid only after a developer approves their submission. Approved payouts are handled through Stripe Connect and are not covered by this developer refund policy.
If you are a tester with a payout or earnings question, contact us at the email below or see the Tester Agreement.
We initiate eligible refunds when settlement runs after your review window closes, or immediately when you cancel an unclaimed test.
After we issue a refund, your bank or card issuer controls how long it takes to post. Most refunds appear within 5–10 business days, but timing varies by payment method and financial institution.
We do not control bank posting times after Stripe marks a refund as succeeded.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at the email below. We can usually resolve billing issues faster than a card dispute.
Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated outside the platform may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
