Mobile app & mobile web testing

Test your mobile product with real users — on real devices.

Target iOS and Android testers, collect screen recordings, and get structured feedback before your next App Store or Play Store release — without an enterprise QA contract.

✓ iOS & Android targeting ✓ Screen recordings ✓ From ~$24 per test
The gap

Your simulator is not the same as real-user mobile QA.

Emulators miss touch friction, OS quirks, and the paths real people take on their own phones.

Testing only on your own phone

You know the happy path. Fresh testers find broken onboarding, layout issues on smaller screens, and permission flows you stopped questioning months ago.

TestFlight without structure

Friends install the build and send vague Slack notes. You still do not know whether checkout works on Android or if settings are confusing on older iOS versions.

Enterprise mobile QA is overkill

Sales calls, $5k minimums, and account managers were built for teams with dedicated QA departments — not indie devs shipping v1.2 on a Tuesday.

How it works

Real devices. Structured feedback. One self-serve workflow.

Post a test, target the devices you care about, and review recordings plus answers before you ship.

1

Add your mobile test details

Share a TestFlight link, Play Store beta URL, APK instructions, or a mobile web URL. Set device and OS requirements so only matching testers can claim.

2

Write instructions and your feedback form

Describe flows to test — sign-up, paywall, offline mode, push permissions. Use a template or build custom fields with ratings, screenshots, and long text.

3

Set slots and publish

Choose how many testers you need and what each earns. Checkout via Stripe — your test goes live for verified testers on matching devices.

4

Review recordings and approve

Watch mobile session recordings, read structured answers, approve what you want, and export CSV, JSON, or ZIP. Unused slots refund automatically.

Device targeting

Test on the platforms your users actually use.

Require iOS, Android, or specific browsers — only matching testers can claim your slots.

Native mobile apps

Point testers to TestFlight, Play Console beta tracks, or direct APK installs. They explore your build on their own hardware and submit structured feedback.

Mobile web & responsive sites

Test responsive URLs in Safari, Chrome, and other mobile browsers. Catch layout breaks, tap targets, and checkout flows on real phone viewports.

What's included

Every submission is a complete mobile QA package.

Screen recording

Watch exactly how testers navigated your app or mobile site — hesitations, dead ends, and confusion included.

Structured answers

Custom forms with ratings, yes/no, screenshots, and long text — comparable across every submission.

Device-matched testers

Verified testers whose device profile matches your requirements claim slots — not whoever happens to be online.

Login & staging access

Attach credentials and login steps per test. Testers copy and open without password handoffs over email.

Export anywhere

Download CSV, JSON, or a ZIP with recordings and screenshots for your team or issue tracker.

Guaranteed pay per slot

Testers earn a fixed amount per approved submission — structured QA, not bounty hunting.

Pricing

Same simple model as every QATested test.

You set pay per slot (minimum $5) and slot count (minimum 3). A 20% platform fee applies. Unused slots refund automatically after your review window.

Example: 3 testers × $8 each + 20% platform fee

FAQ

Mobile testing questions

Native apps, mobile web, device targeting, recordings, and pricing.

Can I test a native iOS or Android app?
Yes. Provide a TestFlight link, Play Store beta link, or APK install instructions in your test brief. Testers on matching devices install or open your app, record their session, and submit structured feedback.
Can I test mobile web in a phone browser?
Yes. Point testers at your responsive URL and require mobile browsers such as Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android. Testers record their session in-browser and answer your custom form.
How do I target specific devices or operating systems?
When you create a test you set device and browser requirements. Only testers whose verified profile matches can claim a slot — so an iOS-only test is not claimed on Android.
Do testers record their mobile screen?
Yes. Submissions include screen recordings captured in-browser on mobile where supported, with an external recording link as a fallback when needed. You review playback in your dashboard.
How much does mobile app testing cost?
Same as any QATested test: minimum ~$24 for a 3-slot smoke test at $8 per slot plus the 20% platform fee. You set pay and slot count — see the pricing calculator for your exact total.
Can I test apps that require login?
Yes. Attach staging credentials and login steps when you create the test. Claimed testers get one-tap copy-and-open access without sharing passwords over email or Slack.
How is this different from TestFlight-only feedback?
TestFlight gives you installs, not structured QA. QATested adds verified testers, a custom feedback form, guaranteed pay per slot, screen recordings, and exportable results you can compare across submissions.
Can I also test WordPress or desktop web?
Yes — same account covers web, mobile, and WordPress. See QA for developers and WordPress plugin testing.
